The National Rep Conference is back due to the great work done by the WiDaR coordinator team with support from NUS!
This year it will be on Saturday 18th March at the University of Birmingham. The general theme for the conference is ‘Development for the Future’ which we thought was appropriate as we start to come to terms with how the sector may now look with the TEF and other sector changes. Based around this theme there will be 4 streams:
Developing You: sessions around skills and employability for Course Reps
Developing Curriculum: sessions around co-design, students as academic partners etc.
Developing Community: sessions around sustainability, mental health, working with societies etc
Developing Staff: sessions for Union staff
These streams are meant to quite open still and ideally would be good for HE and FE course reps and staff who support these systems. It is also a great opportunity for staff to meet their WiDaR regional coordinators and start the networking which will be carried on throughout the regional networks.
When: Saturday, 18 March 2017
